Vintage 1940s Hand Painted Stangl Pottery Della-Ware “Bonita” Chop Plate Platter This gorgeous, hand painted Stangl Della-Ware chop plate platter is part of the “Bonita” line and was produced in the 1940s for Fisher Bruce, a Philadelphia distributor. This lovely platter features blue, pink, and yellow flowers and green leaves encircled by soft pink, yellow, and blue stripes along the edge. The back has the Della-Ware stamp and the artist’s initials. This substantial plate weighs 2 pounds 7.4 ounces, has a 12 5/8” diameter, a 1 1/8” rise, and an 8” base. This piece is in beautiful vintage condition with some age-appropriate imperfections in the glaze here and there. There are 2 small fleabites on the surface, 1 between the pink flower and the green leaf, and 1 not far from the stripes, which I’ve captured in the images.
