Bret Michaels makes special dedication at CNY concert after heartbreaking announcement

Bret Michaels made a special dedication at a concert in Central New York after suffering a heartbreaking loss over the weekend.
Michaels performed at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona on Saturday as part of his “Parti-Gras” tour, which previously stopped at the New York State Fair last summer. On Facebook, Michaels revealed he was dedicating the performance to a longtime friend who died, as well as their family.
“Tonight, our entire show is dedicated to the sudden loss of our good friend Junior (Robert Allen Jones Jr.), the husband of our Production Manager, CEO and lifelong friend Janna Purkey Elias, and their incredible daughter Kendall, our production assistant,” Michaels wrote on Facebook. “Today, our hearts and souls bleed for our beloved Janna and her daughter Kendall. Their father, a longtime friend and one of the best production managers in the business, passed suddenly in Brazil.
Michaels also shared a photo of Junior, Janna and Kendall.
“I was on the phone when (Janna) got the news and will forever feel her and her daughter’s pain,” he continued. “And a day before Janna’s birthday — life is bittersweet and, sometimes, absolutely beyond tough and beyond words. My heart, my prayers, my condolences to you both. You are forever loved and family. Anything we can do, let us all know. You have a lot of people that love you — family, friends, and fans.”
On Sunday, Michaels gave a special thank you to the fans who attended the Turning Stone concert.
“Last night, you gave me something to believe in. We lost a friend of the Michaels Entertainment Group family, Janna and Kendall’s husband and father, last night. Music helped to heal my soul. Thank you for your unbelievable positive energy,” the Poison singer wrote on Facebook.
Michaels announced Monday that he was canceling all other plans and headed to Nashville to support Janna and Kendall, who also serves as his meet-and-greet coordinator at concerts. He’s next scheduled to perform on Saturday, Oct. 26, in Arizona.
Thousands of fans shared well wishes and condolences on social media. Michaels said it was helping him and his touring family.
“These four words came to mind, as I very much know the feeling of loss: FAITH, HOPE, LOVE & COPING,” Michaels wrote Monday. “In the beautiful and bittersweet circle of life, I have learned and, in my opinion, that having LOVE and family, having FAITH in a higher power (whatever yours may be), having HOPE – I have realized that having HOPE is the key to being able to move forward – and being able to COPE with the highs and especially the lows in the circle of life… it has surely helped me many times with my family & my personal life. As I’m watching Janna and Kendall suffer this heartbreaking pain, it is helping them and me right now. I hope it will help you. Have an awesome and blessed day, my family, friends & fans – you rock and you are loved. Thank you for the outpouring of love, it is helping Janna and Kendall at this critical time!!!”
Michaels is best known as the lead singer of Poison on hits like “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Nothin’ But A Good Time,” “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Unskinny Bop” and “Your Mama Don’t Dance.” He also starred on reality TV shows like “Rock of Love with Bret Michaels,” “Bret Michaels Rock My RV” and “Celebrity Apprentice.”
